Macao Meeting 2010
The Venetian Macao, September 20-25, 2010
Dear Members and Friends of the CLN,
We are proud to announce that we have put up the conference website for our 8th CLN Macao Conference 2010 at www.combinedlogisticsnetworks.com/macaomeeting.
As we were unlucky with the political situation in Bangkok for our initially intended event in May this year, our team has work double-time to design an even better conference.
We are glad to announce that only 10% of our members have opted to be refunded the conference fees and a few are already in touch with regards to re-joining - we are therefore expecting an strengthened attendance of 150 CLN Members during our Macao event, more than we have expected in Bangkok.
Our team is very excited to share new developments and more insight into innovative ways how to go about the freight forwarding industry today.
How will the 8th Combined Logistics Networks Meeting 2010 be different to the other years?
Collaboration with the biggest – The Freight Summit
CLN will be joining The Freight Summit for the first year. The Freight Summit is a freight forwarders networking event and is the largest collaboration amongst freight alliances. This year the event expects 600 forwarders from all over the world and members of the CLN will have free access to all the programs of TFS – including the world known TFS VIP Party.
As we will be making use of the TFS as the venue to meet, we will be fixing the scheduler to meet with CLN-only members during the 1st and 2nd day, while the 3rd and 4th day will allow you to meet with all participants.
Security Caution
CLN continues to be one of the safest networks in the freight forwarding arena due to the high standards of network partners. We would like to caution our members that since the TFS is purely an event we are collaborating with, participants of the TFS will not be secured. Should you find an interesting partner during the event that is a non-CLN member, transactions with ‘lose agents’ will be at your own risk. If you wish to invite members to join the CLN, please feel free to refer them to us for further screening and recruitment. As a precaution, to distinguish secured from non-secured participants during the conference we have design the scheduling system in this way:
Day 1 – exclusive with CLN members only
Day 2 - exclusive with CLN members only
Day 3 – open to meet with all forwarders
Day 4 – open to meet with all forwarders
Limited offer for CLN Member’s Exhibition Booths
CLN has blocked off 30 booths for the first 30 members to block off – first come first serve. Should you be interested in grabbing this opportunity, please reply to this email and we will take care of the rest.
Sponsors
We will carry over sponsors from the CLN Bangkok event to cover both CLN Macao and TFS for this year at no further cost. This will allow your company to expose iself to much larger database.
Welcome our new and observing members
As the CLN continues to grow, we wish to welcome our newly secured members to the CLN network during the conference.
Important keynote speeches
Never has it been more important to understand the strengths of an independent forwarder and the use of a network to facilitate business development. We have met with several forwarders that consider their network business to. Following are the interesting key sessions that will allow you to learn more about yourself and your industry.
- Independent Forwarding
- Green Logistics
- New member-solutions and tools developed by the CLN
- Search Engine Optimization
- Shipping Media / PR Helpdesk
