| CLN’s 10th Year Homecoming Event in Hong Kong – All 700 ‘current’ and ‘previous agents’ are invited to attend once again. |
Someone asked me once before: “What are we doing with CLN now, how will we put our ‘dream team’ together, and how does it look like?” After careful thought, it dawned upon me that we already are the dream team if we could re-introduce the best of the 700 members since our first day in 2001 back into the network- If I could just re-connect all of our currently active members to our previous members, that would be my ‘dream team’.
We are pleased to announce that CLN will be celebrating its 10th year ‘Homecoming’ conference in Hong Kong, and we are inviting all our current and previous members to once again get back together. Over the years, we have faced many forwarders that praised that ‘bigger’ was better and for a while, we almost decided to blow the network up to record numbers - But instead, we decided for ‘Quality’ and maintained highest entry standards to a point that our approach on the network size was questioned.
Now, 10 years later, our proven network can say that we have done a good job to filter the ‘bad apples’ from the ‘good apples’ and only maintained the best of the best, while many other networks face great difficulties in either putting up a proper team or are challenged with defaulting members up to the millions of dollars.
Let’s get back together re-connect and re-start to form the safest and most professionally represented freight network in the world, once again. I leave you with a quote, which I thought was great in context to our drive to re-form our ‘dream team’: “A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.” - John Lennon |

Highlights of Manila Meeting 2011-9th Annual Conference
Manila Marriott Hotel
May 24-28, 2011 |

Combined Logistics Networks has concluded its 9th Annual Meeting with a success! This time, we decided to go back to where it all started, the Philippines. In 2003, the then Combined Freight Network launched its first ever CFN Annual conference in Shangri-La Hotel Makati, Philippines where 24 delegates from 18 international companies attended. This year, after 9 years of holding our conference in different major countries, we decided to hold our annual meeting in the Philippines.
The conference was held in the prestigious five-star Manila Marriott Hotel last May 24-28, 2011, where 100 delegates of 54 companies from 31 countries participated in the event. The meeting schedule had 2 days of purely face2face meetings and 3 days of pure social events and relationship building.
The first 2 days of the event were dedicated to Face2Face meetings. All our 82 participants had the time to meet their partners and discuss current business and new updates. We also handed out loyalty awards to recognize those companies who have been with the network for 3 years, 5 years, and 8 years. On the third day, we spearheaded a team building activity, which was designed to develop the four elements of a successful adventure experience: trust, communication, cooperation and fun. On the last day, our delegates had a chance to tour historical places in the Philippines, like Intramuros and the world-renowned Bamboo Organ in Las Pinas Church.
The 9th annual conference of Combined Logistics Networks was a success! Once again, we would like to send our gratitude to those delegates who made our 2011 conference happen. |
